Dr. Peter Gotsis
Program Director


Peter Gotsis, DO, was born and raised in Lorain County. He received his bachelor's degree from Baldwin Wallace and his doctorate at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at St. John Medical Center in Westlake.

Dr. Gotsis is trained to treat patients of all ages. His special medical interests include preventative medicine. He is committed to caring for his patients in a friendly, courteous and thorough manner.

Dr. Jason Ridgel
Preceptor

Jason Ridgel MD has been a busy family practitioner on the west side of Cleveland since 2001.  His practice includes all ages from newborns and adults in the office to geriatrics in a community nursing home.  Dr Ridgel  performs many office procedures including excisional biopsies, joint injections, and I&Ds.  He does comprehensive preventative medicine including gynecologic care, and embraces the concept of the medical home for his patients. When Dr Ridgel is not teaching or seeing patients he enjoys cycling in one of the many parks that surround the Westlake area, or in the winter he can be found cross country skiing.  He is a member of OSEK (the local kite club) and spends many off call weekends on the shores of Lake Erie teaching kids of all ages to fly sport kites. 

 



Dr. Evan Rae
Preceptor



Evan Rae DO joined the clinical faculty at SJMC in 2012.  He is a graduate of our program where he was chief resident in the year 2011.  He has a private practice in Sheffield Village, OH where he sees patients of all ages.  He enjoys teaching and rotates regularly in the resident clinic as preceptor.  He also takes students at his office.

 



Dr. Lawrence Lief 
Preceptor


Lawrence K Lief, DO, is a graduate of Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Lief completed his Internship at Brentwood Hospital and is Board Certified in Family Practice. He also has staff privileges at St. John Medical Center.

Dr. Lief's special interest is in Family Practice including osteopathic manipulation therapy. His extracurricular activities include jogging and biking.


Dr. Monique Richardson
Preceptor / NH rounds

Monique Richardson, MD, received her bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas and her doctorate at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. She completed her residency in family medicine at St. Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and began her practice with Westshore Primary Care in 1997.

Dr. Richardson enjoys caring for patients of all ages. She manages chronic diseases, acute illness and counsels patients in preventative health. She also provides office procedures including mole removal, wart treatment and routine gynecologic care. Dr Richardson precepts for our longitudinal geriatrics roatation.

 




   
  Dr. W. Stanton Richardson

W. Stanton Richardson MD was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Stan Richardson, MD, attended Texas A & M University. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and subsequently completed residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Richardson's special interests include geriatric medicine and preventative health. Dr Richardson precepts for our longitudinal geriatrics roatation.


  

        

  Dr. James Ohliger
Preceptor

James Ohliger Jr., DO was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Fairview Park. He is a graduate of St. Ignatius High School and Cleveland State University. He attended medical school at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in family medicine at Fairview General Hospital.

Dr. Ohliger is Board Certified in Family Medicine, a Fellow of The American Academy of Family Physicians and Clinical Assistant Professor Department of Family Medicine, Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His interests include preventative health maintenance for children, adolescents and adults and treatment of all aspects of family medicine.   



Dr. Michael J. Rish
Preceptor

Michael Rish MD 
received his Bachelor's degree from Ohio State University. He received his doctorate degree from The Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. Dr. Rish completed his residency training at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland.
Dr. Rish greatly enjoys caring for individual patients or entire families. He is trained to care for patients of all ages. His special medical interests include asthma, diabetes, behavioral health, and minor surgical procedures. He strives to provide friendly, courteous, and thorough care for all his patients
